Today, we’re excited to announce that BookMD is now Vim.
When we started BookMD, we had a small team and lot to do. We needed a name that would get us through the zygote stage of our company. We needed to choose something quickly without a lot of fuss. It would be something that even a toddler could say. “BookMD” passed the toddler test with our CPO’s 1 year old. So we made a decision and we took off, building amazing products and bringing on our wonderful partners.
Today, our company has matured. We offer a lot more than booking and we have our sights set on even bigger goals for the future. We need a name that will represent everything we do and the people who make it happen.
Vim, as in “vim and vigor”, represents the energy and enthusiasm with which our team tackles problems and the vibrancy of our brand. It also represents our customers, the patients who we serve. We want them to thrive in health and happiness.
With our new name, we also have a new logo, designed to be simple and compact. It works in any environment and at any size. Revealing the pieces that connect to create the word Vim represents how we build products and connect systems to provide a seamless customer experience that’s also delightful and fun.
We look forward to a bright future with our new name. However, we also know that a name and a logo are nothing without the quality of the products and services they represent. In the words one of the greatest designers of our time:
