What We Learned from ViVE, HIMSS, and RISE National 2025

Over the past two months, Vim has been privileged to attend some of the most influential healthcare events in the industry: ViVE, HIMSS, and RISE National. Each event provided invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of healthcare technology, and we’re thrilled to share key takeaways that reflect our growing role in shaping the future of healthcare.

1. The Evolution of EHRs and the Rise of AI Integration

At all three events, one overarching theme stood out: EHRs are rapidly evolving. The healthcare industry is pushing for better interoperability, more intuitive systems, and increased AI-driven capabilities that can streamline clinical workflows and improve outcomes. This was particularly evident at HIMSS, where the integration of AI-powered tools for data-driven insights and enhanced accessibility was a hot topic. Vim is well-positioned to lead this shift, thanks to our developer platform, Vim Canvas, and our commitment to pushing the boundaries of EHR technology.

2. AI-Powered Technology Expanding Strategic Partnerships

Strategic partnerships are more critical than ever. The conversations at these events emphasized the need for healthcare providers to experience advanced capabilities directly in their workflows. From AI-driven search tools to sophisticated risk analytics, there’s a clear push toward embedding data seamlessly into healthcare workflows to empower providers to take relevant actions.  Vim’s role as a partner in these efforts has been reinforced, with many industry leaders recognizing us as a key enabler in making actionable data available to providers at the point of care.

3. The Demand for Value-Based Care Solutions

Value-based care continues to be a central topic of discussion as the industry moves away from fee-for-service models. Payers and risk-bearing providers are seeking better ways to close care gaps, improve risk management, and streamline data-sharing.

At RISE National, conversations centered on how technology can support providers in managing value-based care programs. Many organizations are turning to solutions that integrate directly into EHRs, embedding quality measures, risk adjustment insights, and care gap alerts at the point of care. With CMS pushing for expanded adoption of VBC programs, scalable and workflow-integrated solutions will be critical for success.

4. Interoperability Is Not Just a Buzzword – It’s a Necessity

Interoperability was a key theme across all three events. It’s not just about connecting systems for the sake of integration; it’s about ensuring that the data flows seamlessly across platforms to provide clinicians with the insights they need at the point of care. Health IT solutions that prioritize interoperability are becoming essential as organizations seek to break down data silos and improve efficiency across the care continuum.

What’s next for healthcare tech?

The conversations at ViVE, HIMSS, and RISE National made one thing clear–healthcare is at a turning point. Organizations aren’t just talking about innovation; they’re actively seeking solutions that break down silos and deliver real value. From AI-driven technology to seamless data exchange, the focus is shifting from theory to execution.

This trade show season reinforced how much momentum is building across the industry. The demand for smarter, more connected technology, is stronger than ever, and it’s encouraging to see real progress toward making these solutions a reality. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but the direction is clear and the energy is palpable.
