using Microsoft Edge Group Policy (GPO)

Vim Connect is Vim’s browser extension that enhances Electronic Medical Record (EMR) capabilities for provider organizations.

In this guide, we’ll explain how to deploy Vim Connect using Microsoft Edge Group Policy administrative templates (ADMX). These templates are provided by Microsoft and are designed to allow you to centrally manage Edge browser settings in an Active Directory domain for your organization.

Installing GPO ADMX Templates for Microsoft Edge

  1. On your Group Policy server, Download and extract the following zip file and extract it to a folder of your choice.
  2. Open Group Policy Management Console (gpmc.msc) and create a new GPO:
  3. Right-Click the GPO you just created and click Edit
  4. Go to Computer Configuration Policies Administrative Templates
  5. Right click Administrative Templates and then click Add/Remove templates.
  6. Click “Add”
  7. Browse to the extracted folder, and double-click msedge.adm file in the following path:
    MicrosoftEdgePolicyTemplates\windows\adm\en-US\msedge.adm
